Astoria's Most Underrated Seafood Gem

Sabry’s Seafood has been on my must-visit list, and a recent revisit just confirmed why—it’s quietly one of the best seafood spots in Queens. No flashy decor, no gimmicks, just incredibly fresh seafood, generous portions, and rich yet balanced flavors. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to. 🦑 Seafood Tajine Aromatic tomato stew simmered with Middle Eastern spices, tender squid, shrimp, and fish. So good we kept dipping Arabic bread into the sauce! 🐙 Grilled Octopus Perfectly charred outside, tender inside—lightly spiced and one of the best in NYC. 🐟 Whole Grilled Fish Pick your fish from the display! Grilled to crispy-skinned perfection with moist, flaky meat—brighten it up with a squeeze of lemon. 🥗 Salad + Arabic Bread Fresh salad to balance the rich dishes, plus fluffy, warm bread that’s perfect for soaking up sauces. And don’t skip dessert next door at Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries! 🧀 Kunefeh: Served warm, crispy outside, gooey cheesy inside—just sweet enough. 🥮 Baklava: Flaky, nutty, not overly sweet—a classic done right. The owner at Sabry’s may look serious but is actually super helpful—just ask for recommendations! A seafood feast at Sabry’s followed by sweets at Al-Sham = my perfect Astoria food combo. 💯 📍 Sabry’s Seafood 24-25 Steinway St, Astoria, NY 11103 📍 Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries 24-39 Steinway St, Astoria, NY 11103 #NYCSeafood #AstoriaEats #MiddleEasternFood #HiddenGemsNYC #NYCFood #QueensEats #SeafoodLovers #DessertHeaven #FoodCombo #EatLikeALocal #NYCLife
