Atomix | What's New on the August Menu in North America? (1)โ๏ธ
๐๐ I've been eagerly looking forward to these two Michelin stars for so long. I did my homework on the menus from June and July, but when I arrived, I was told they had just changed to a new one. Leaving aside the titles of being in the world's top 50 and the best in North America, this was a meal that, while not stunning from start to finish, is definitely worth savoring. ๐ With Japanese ingredients, Korean seasonings, and a few French cooking techniques, it follows the East Asian cuisine route of umami overload. The appetizers were a bit ordinary, but there were two or three dishes that were absolutely amazing. Overall, it started slow but ended strong, with a balanced and stable performance. Some dishes that stood out: ๐ฆ King crab๏ฝcarrot curry, Kaluga caviar The curry itself has a complex aroma and a great vegetable flavor, which is already delicious. Adding the smooth pine nut cream sauce on top was just amazing ๐ ๐ Abalone๏ฝeggplant, boyang broth I had just enjoyed some delicious abalone at Nakaji, but this one was even better. It was stewed to perfection, with no chewy texture at all, just pure crisp and bouncy. ๐ The chicken broth was incredibly flavorful. The accompanying squid was also of very high quality. ๐๐ #NewYork
