Attaboy: First Experience with No Menu (1)๐
On a weekday, I went to Attaboy with a friend. Our original plan was to get a number first, grab a bite to eat nearby, and then come back for drinks. ๐ธ๐ But when we arrived at 5 p.m., there was no line, so we just started drinking on an empty stomach! ๐ They have no menu there. You can describe the flavors and base spirits you want to the bartender to make your drink. I saw people posting about getting drinks based on descriptions like โtomato and scrambled eggsโ or โWest Lake in Hangzhou.โ ๐ธ๐ I asked if the bartender could make a drink based on our outfits, but he said that was too abstract. So, for the first round, I ordered a Paper Plane, and my friend got a coconut-flavored drink with gin as the base The Paper Plane has a strong lemon and grapefruit flavor. Some people say it really feels like a paper plane flying out of your mouth, but I consider myself pretty perceptive, and I couldnโt quite get that sensation even with my eyes closed. ๐ธ๐ My friendโs coconut drink also had a strong lemon flavor, and apparently, there was an apricot note, but I couldnโt taste it. #NewYork ๐ธ๐
