🚌 Austria’s Instagram Bridge Guide – For Public Transport Travelers!
✈️ Our Journey Flew from Tokyo → Shanghai, met friends, then Shanghai → Budapest (Schengen entry). After 2 days in Budapest, took a 7-hour train to Innsbruck. Stayed at Ibis Innsbruck (super convenient – directly connected to the train station!). Spent the afternoon exploring Innsbruck’s charming Old Town – small but stunning with the Alps backdrop! 🏔️✨ 🚆 How to Get to the Bridge (No Car Needed!) 1️⃣ Train + Bus Combo: Book on ÖBB (Austrian Railways): Search "Innsbruck Hbf → Ginzling Schlegeis Stausee". Cost: €20.30 one-way (round-trip is cheaper, but we played it safe). Route: Train Innsbruck → Jenbach (transfer) Train Jenbach → Mayrhofen Bus Mayrhofen → Schlegeis Reservoir (the hike’s starting point). 2️⃣ Extra Fee: Bus driver charged €15 cash (for 3 people) – likely a toll fee. Keep the ticket for the return trip! 🥾 The Hike (August 13 – Perfect Weather! ☀️) Start: ~8:30 AM at the reservoir. Route: Took the shorter but steeper path – challenging but manageable with breaks! Arrived at the hut by noon (with photo stops & snacks). The Bridge: A short climb from the hut. Queue was orderly, and the bridge felt safe (despite the dizzying photos!). ⏰ Return Trip Last bus: Around 6 PM – we took the 4:30 PM one back. Pro Tip: Those "dangerous-looking" shots? Just clever angles – no real risk! 😉 #Austria #InstagramBridge #HikingTheAlps #NoCarNeeded #TravelTips #AlpineAdventure #PublicTransportHike 🚞🥾
