Authentic Yanji barbecue hidden in Pharasis!
New York’s hit with a big cold snap today—what better time for a fiery BBQ feast? 🔥 The owner of this spot is Korean Chinese, and the place is packed with both Chinese and Korean diners—you know that means it’s the real deal. 🏠 Name: Ming Xing BBQ 📍 Address: 35-14 Farrington St, Flushing, NY 11354 ✅ Recommended Dishes 1️⃣ Beef Skewers / Lamb Skewers (10 per order) They sizzle and drip oil on the grill, filling the air with meaty aroma—so satisfying! The meat quality is great, and the dipping sauce is that authentic Northeast China flavor. A must-order! At first, they let us grill them ourselves, but we were too clumsy. The owner took over, cooked them perfectly, and brought them out—we just kept them warm on the table grill. 2️⃣ Guobaorou (Sweet and Sour Pork) First time having this in NYC, and it’s solid! Crispy fried, with the sweet-sour balance just right—classic comfort. 3️⃣ Spicy Stir-Fried Pig Trotters Salty-spicy and 90% tender—chewy enough to have that jelly-like texture, but not tough. So good with rice 🍚 4️⃣ Spicy Stir-Fried Squid Same seasoning as the trotters—equally addictive with rice. 🔴 Dishes I Found Just Okay 1️⃣ Fried Mushrooms The dipping sauce is way too salty, and the mushrooms are tiny. But the mushrooms themselves have a natural sweetness, which saves it a bit—meh overall. 2️⃣ Cold Noodles Saw tons of recommendations, but the broth tasted like it had no salt—way too bland. Skip this. 3️⃣ Large-Cut Meat Weird texture, nowhere near as good as the beef or lamb skewers. 🍴 Ambiance The place is a bit cramped, especially if you’re grilling yourself—smoky and fiery. Better to let the owner grill for you! 💰 Average per person: $35–$45 There were three of us, and we paid $66 each—but we left half the food and had to pack it. Order carefully—you can always trust Northeast-style portions to be huge! #NewYorkFoodie #FlushingFood #NewYorkBBQ #NewYorkFood #NewYorkRestaurants #NewYorkEats #Flushing
