Autumn Day Trip from Pittsburgh — Seven Springs (Part 2) 🌌🍽️
After a full day of fun, we headed to the resort’s buffet dinner — reservations available on their website. Besides the main dining hall, there are other restaurant options too 🍴。 The food gave off “fine dining meets rustic comfort” vibes — a interesting mix like authentic Northeastern-style sauerkraut with Harbin red sausage 🥬, freshly sliced ham, and more. The dessert selection was classic American — very sweet 🍰, so I only tried two. But the bread was delicious, especially with a lightly spiced pumpkin-cinnamon spread 🎃🍞! That night, a wedding had booked out the Karaoke Bar & Billiards Hall 🎤🎱, so we decided to go stargazing instead 🌠。 We set out around 10 PM and skipped the kayak lake this time. Instead, we drove 20 minutes to an overlook near Rockwood, PA 15557 🚗💨。This spot is perched on a hilltop, completely away from Seven Springs’ light pollution 💡❌。 The conditions were perfect: a thin crescent moon 🌙, no clouds, and nearly 90% stargazing visibility! The road was well-maintained with occasional streetlights, though the final stretch was closed — likely due to wildlife 🦌. We didn’t risk going all the way to the platform, but even from where we stopped, the starry sky was breathtaking 🌌。We could clearly see the Milky Way with the naked eye — and even captured it on night mode! By the end of the month, this spot would also be perfect for sunset + fall foliage views 🍁🌅。The next morning, we drove back — the mountains along the way were already turning red and gorgeous 😍。 #NearPittsburgh #Autumn #Stargazing #SevenSprings #PAFall #NightPhotography #MilkyWayChasing 🍂📸
