🧩The Pont St-bénézet bridge captured from the viewing platform of Jardin des Doms park. Below: The papal palace photographed from the broken bridge. 🧩Pont St-bénézet is a famous medieval bridge. Legend has it that a young shepherd named Bénézet heard the voice of God and, guided by an angel, 👍spent 8 years building this bridge in the early 12th century. 😍The broken bridge spans the Rhône River, connecting Avignon with the new city of Avignon on the left bank. The original length of the bridge was about 900 meters, but due to frequent flooding, most of the bridge was washed away after the great flood of 1668. Of the original 22 arches, only 4 remain today, becoming what we know as the "broken bridge." 🧩The ancient city of Avignon before nightfall is also beautiful!. 🥹The sunlight in southern France during the day is very strong, and as travelers, our time in a city is limited, 👍so it is recommended to plan a reasonable itinerary and photography plan in advance. #Europe #European Travel #France #Travel in France #Avignon #Papal Palace #Photography Daily #Travel Photography
