📍 AVOID! My Terrible Experience at DC's The Hamilton
Don’t be fooled by the hype on social media — The Hamilton was a total disappointment, from service to food. A meal that should have been enjoyable turned into a frustrating experience. 💣 💔 Service Was Almost Nonexistent • No one refilled our water the entire meal — we had to ask multiple times. • The order of dishes was completely off: the main course arrived before the appetizers. • We specifically asked for raw shrimp in one dish, but what arrived was fully cooked. 🍤❌ 🍽️ The Food — A Breakdown of Disappointment 1️⃣ Jumbo Lump Crab Cake ❌ The crab tasted noticeably off — a clear fishy flavor from the first bite. ❌ Texture was mushy and wet, with none of the sweetness or springiness fresh crab should have. 2️⃣ Steak Frites ⚠️ The only edible dish, but the steak was average and the sauce nothing special. 3️⃣ Seafood Stew ❌ Bland and watery — tasted like it had no seasoning at all. 4️⃣ Hoisin Pork Belly ❌ Overly sweet and heavy — like candied meat. One piece was enough to feel overwhelmed. 5️⃣ Braised Lamb Tagliatelle 💥 A major fail! The pasta was severely overcooked into a mushy mess, and the lamb had a strong, unpleasant gamey taste. 📌 Final Verdict: Steer Clear ✔️ Stale seafood | Indifferent service | Poorly balanced flavors | Sloppy cooking 💸 At $50+ per person, this felt like a waste of money — you can find much better food in DC, even in casual spots. Save your time and appetite — this place isn’t worth it. 👋 #DC RestaurantFail #OverhypedEatery #WashingtonDC Dining #FoodieWarning #BadServiceDC #AvoidThisPlace
