Back in Bangkok in One Second 🐘 | When in Bangkok, Flushing 🌴
Winter in New York hits hard — every gust of wind whispers: You’re not in the tropics. It feels like forever since my last warm getaway. But stepping into When in Bangkok instantly teleports you to the streets of Bangkok. Spices hang in the air, and your taste buds fly straight to the tropics 🏝️ What truly amazed me this time? The enormous Thai-style braised pork knuckle. No exaggeration — when it arrived, I actually said “WOW” out loud. The knuckle is braised to perfect tenderness, the skin sticky and gelatinous, rich but not heavy. It melts in your mouth like tropical sunshine… and yes, it’s my first time seeing a whole pork knuckle at a Thai restaurant! The oysters were another highlight 🦪 Super fresh, zero fishiness, topped with Thai spicy lime sauce and crispy bits — each bite bursts with ocean freshness, tang, and crunch. Absolutely addictive. Crab fried rice — an old favorite I always order at Thai spots. Packed with generous chunks of crab meat, almost every spoonful has crab. Simple, fragrant, satisfying. Outside the window, New York is freezing. But on the table? It’s all Bangkok heat 🌶️🍚 When the sour, spicy, and sweet flavors swirl together in your mouth, your body may be in Flushing, but your soul is already strolling through Siam in flip-flops. Already dreaming of my next tropical trip ✈️ 📍 When in Bangkok 161-16 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358 #FlushingEats #ThaiFoodNYC #WhenInBangkok #PorkKnuckle #ThaiCuisine #NYCFoodie #FlushingFood #NYCThai #TropicalVibes #ComfortFood #FoodEscape #NYCRestaurants #MustTryNYC #FoodReview #SpicyFood #CrabFriedRice #Oysters #WarmEats #NYCWinters #EscapeToBangkok
