Back in NYC — Still Jet-Lagged, But Eating Well! ✈️🍽️
November is full of reasons to celebrate, and even with a crazy sleep schedule, I made sure to treat myself to some truly memorable meals this week. Between adjusting to the time zone and getting back to work, I spent most of my free time exploring delicious spots around the city! 🇮🇹 Scalini Fedeli Located in Tribeca, this Italian restaurant instantly won me over with its beautiful arched ceilings and soft lighting. We went for the $89 three-course prix fixe, which came with generous extras like complimentary appetizers and desserts. Everything was so flavorful and satisfying — we literally had to walk for 30 minutes afterward to make room! 😂 ✨ Bonus joy: A friend brought me a vintage newspaper from France — such a thoughtful touch! 💖 🌟 César Returning to one of my all-time favorites felt like coming home. Their uni toast remains unmatched, and the fluffy shaved ice soufflé melts in your mouth. I added foie gras to the quail main course — the extra richness took it to another level! For non-drinkers, try the sobacha, a tangy, refreshing buckwheat tea that wakes up the palate. 🍸 At Cave A newly opened Asian Fusion spot in the Lower East Side where every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. The corn ribs — creamy with a hint of Sichuan spice — were absolutely addictive. And the fried egg over tangy tomato rice? Pure comfort in a bowl! Their cocktails also shine with subtle Chinese inspirations. I tried: GHRELIN DEW (osmanthus tea + plum) CUKE FLOWER (jasmine tea + cucumber) Both were light and refreshing. Next time, I’m eyeing the guava-based TROPICAL NECTAR! 🍹 Even with jet lag, good food (and good company) always makes everything better. Here’s to many more delicious days in NYC! 🥂🗽 #NYCfood #NYCrestaurants #JetLagEats #ItalianInNYC #AsianFusion #FineDiningNYC #DateNightSpot #FoodieDiary #EatYourWayThroughNYC #TastyRecovery
