Banff📍Canadian Rockies Alpine Lakes Journey

In the late summer of August, I wandered through the Canadian Rockies Those emerald alpine lakes remain unforgettable to this day One of my most cherished little trips ever 🥰 First, flew to Calgary, Canada Picked up a rental car at the airport and drove to Banff Town I chose to stay in Banff instead of nearby Canmore Because parking in Banff is tricky—didn’t want to waste time hunting for spots So we left the car at the hotel Giving us more time to leisurely explore this charming town 1️⃣ Day 1: Strolled around Banff Town Bow River Cascade Garden Banff Town is quite small—many spots are walkable The town is full of adorable shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars Highly recommend Canada Icecream! Their banana-flavored ice cream is divine 🤤 2️⃣ Day 2: Banff Gondola → Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk Continued exploring the town 3️⃣ Day 3: Lake Louise Extremely popular—so we arrived early to snag a parking spot Watched a breathtaking sunrise The mountain peaks turned golden The lake wasn’t its usual turquoise but crystal-clear under the sunlight So transparent you could see the rocks beneath the surface Kayaked on Lake Louise Hiked the famous Big Beehive Trail—offers a panoramic view of Lake Louise from above Highly recommended! 4️⃣ Day 4: The legendary Moraine Lake Again, we arrived before dawn to secure parking This lot is even smaller and fills up faster By 5 AM, it was already 80% full Witnessed a stunning sunrise—crimson light painting the mountain tops Even spotted a playful lynx by Moraine Lake! The lake’s color is an intense, saturated blue So beautiful it left me speechless… hauntingly unforgettable. 5️⃣ Day 5: Drove from Bow Lake to Jasper National Park Visited Abraham Lake + Athabasca Falls 6️⃣ Day 6: Patricia & Pyramid Lakes (Skippable—nothing extraordinary) Maligne Canyon Spirit Island (Recommend taking the boat tour for unique lake perspectives) 7️⃣ Day 7: Yoho National Park Emerald Lake Takakkaw Falls + Yoho Valley Drove back to Calgary → flew home the next day #Banff #BanffTravelGuide #BanffNationalPark #Canada #RockyMountains
