Bay Area Travel Guide: Must-Dos & What to Skip! šā”ļø
Just finished orientation and spent 2 weeks re-exploring SF (last visit was 7 years agoātime flies!). Hereās my real-talk recap: š Transport Wins Clipper Card: 3-day pass = unlimited Muni (buses/trams) + BART/Caltrain to Stanford/Silicon Valley. Caltrain: 30-min rides to San Jose/SFO (tap on/off). No rental car needed! ā°ļø My 4-Day Itinerary Day 1: Chinatown (ā ļø see below) ā Fishermanās Wharf ā Lombard St ā Union Square Day 2: Golden Gate Bridge (foggy but iconic!) Day 3: Golden Gate Park + City Hall Day 4: Stanford + Silicon Valley techie vibes š„ļø š£ AVOID These! 1ļøā£ Tenderloin Hotels Booked a *"3-min to Union Square"* spot⦠turned out to be in TL š. Noise hell: Garbage trucks + screaming unhoused folks + paper-thin windows. Earplugs providedāred flag! 2ļøā£ Chinatown Dirty streets + weird smells. Worse? A shop owner shamed me for "not marrying for a green card" š. 3ļøā£ Maās Dim Sum & Cafe *1-hour wait* not due to crowdsālocals got seated first! Cash-only + rude service. š Pro Tips šØ Stay near Union Squareābut triple-check the map for TL borders. š Better dim sum: Try Dragon Beaux or Koi Palace. #SanFrancisco #BayArea #TravelTips #StudyAbroad #GoldenGateBridge #SFTravel
