Bay Area Weekend|Stepping into an Autumn Fairytale at a Redwood Park
📍 Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park 🌳 The park was established in 1954, named after 19th‑century landowner Henry Cowell. The atmosphere is lovely — shaded, cool, and filled with the scent of damp leaves and mist (a delight for Baie19 fans!). Entry is $10 per vehicle. You can camp ⛺️ / picnic 🍱 / hike 🚶♂️ / bike 🚴, and there’s even a historic steam train (about 1‑hour ride). The park’s website also offers free guided tours about history, forest ecology, birds, and more. 🌟 For a chill stroll, try the Redwood Grove Loop Trail — takes about 30 minutes and covers almost all the highlights. The giant redwoods are numbered — though I didn’t find them all 😄 🌟 For a 3‑hour hike, choose trails that blend forests, hills, and creek valleys with multiple loop options along the way. Trail forks are common — download an offline map (Google Maps allows small‑area downloads) or grab a paper map at the entrance. 🐶 Pet‑friendly trails available ⏰ Open 10 AM until sunset #BayAreaWeekend #BayAreaLife #CaliforniaTravel #RedwoodPark #HiddenGems #WeekendEscape #NatureWalk #ForestVibes #AutumnMagic
