We combined our trip with some shopping in Woodbury, which is just a 20-minute drive away from the park. 🛍️ The highlight of our visit was the scenic hike to the top of Bear Mountain. The trail winds through lush forests and offers breathtaking views of the Hudson River below. 🌲 🌊 It takes about an hour to reach the summit, and the journey is filled with moments of natural beauty. We took our time, stopping frequently to admire the changing colors of the leaves and capture some stunning photos. 📸 When we visited, the foliage was just beginning to change, but it wasn’t quite at its peak. For the most vibrant display of fall colors, we recommend visiting at the end of October or the first week of November. The park is truly a paradise for leaf-peepers during this time! 🍂 In addition to hiking, Bear Mountain State Park offers plenty of other activities to enjoy. We rented a boat and spent some time paddling on the calm waters of the lake, surrounded by the vibrant hues of autumn. 🛶 It was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. 🍁 For those looking for a bit of relaxation, the park also features cozy cabins where you can take a break and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.
