Beautiful Fusion Dining at DaNico in Toronto

Had a romantic date with my bestie💕 The service at the restaurant was amazing—they even told us we could take our time after the meal to explore and take some beautiful photos! From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was on point! The restaurant boasts a super high ceiling, warm lighting, an open kitchen, and attentive service. We started with a light and sweet Riesling, our favorite aperitif. 🍷 🍽️ There are two set menus to choose from: 💰 $150 for 3 courses 💰 $225 for 8 courses Note: If you choose the $150 menu and want the house dessert, there’s an extra $20 charge, and the entire table must order the same course. The bread was a bit oily, but the one with sausage was tastier, though the sausage was a bit spicy 🌶️. While the restaurant is super photogenic, the food was a bit challenging to capture due to the dim lighting and all the small plates 😅. In the 8-course meal, most dishes were on the salty side (maybe because I prefer lighter flavors). The meal was roughly half seafood and half meat. The chef clearly loves mushrooms 😅, as many courses featured various mushrooms or mushroom broth. The beef was high-quality, but the foie gras in the duck course was a bit too rich for my taste—I still prefer a whole piece of foie gras. The pasta was a bit too firm, with an overwhelming mushroom flavor. 😋 Favorite dishes included: Cod Steak A bowl dish (with fish and crispy elements) Oysters Complimentary macarons that were sweet but not overly so Summary: While the value for money is average, they do give a lovely wine bottle stopper and a handwritten card for birthdays, which is a sweet touch💕. It’s perfect for a date night or a special birthday/anniversary with a strong sense of occasion and beauty! 💕 #DateNight #CanadianCuisine #CanadaLife #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericDining #GlobalFoodAdventures #RomanticDining #TorontoLife #TorontoExploration #TorontoDateSpots #TorontoRestaurants ### Name: DaNico Address: 440 College St, Toronto, ON M5T 1T3 Type: Restaurant ###
