Belgium | A Centennial Pub with Over 400 Types of Beer
🌟In France, I’ve grown tired of wine, and in the scorching summer heat, I really miss the taste of beer… It’s time for a trip to Belgium before Ryanair shuts down the route. 🌟After landing, I took a train straight from Brussels to Bruges to meet up with a friend who happens to be a serious craft beer enthusiast. Our itinerary was all about eating and drinking… and more drinking. 🌟Dinner was at Cambrinus, a Bierbrasserie, which translates to a pub for drinking and eating meat. It’s located in a building dating back to 1699, with a logo featuring a chubby king sitting on a beer barrel. 🌟Why this place? Because I discovered their wine list has multiple pages, categorized by style, and there’s also a blackboard in the shop listing the daily draft beers. I thought to myself, this is the right place. 🌟My first beer was Troubadour, and my friend had De Dolle Brouwers, the one with the little snowman! Apparently, it’s been discontinued now 🥲 Finally, I ordered a Max Kriek, a refreshing fruit-flavored beer that’s sweet but packs a decent alcohol content. 🌟All the beers were so fresh and cheap! Wine country folks are jealous! 🌟Now, let’s talk about the food here. 🌟For appetizers, we had Croquettes, one with shrimp filling and one with cheese. I highly recommend the shrimp one because it uses Belgian grey shrimp, a small and sweet variety! 🌟For the main course, we had a beer braised beef and a Fish Stew. The beer beef was richly flavored, though the beef was a bit lean; the Fish Stew was more recommended, with fresh fish and a very delicious broth that wasn’t as greasy as some French fish stews. #EnjoyaSipTonight #CraftBeerExplorationMap #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGemRestaurant #Beer #CraftBeer #Pub #Belgium #DrinkingRoutine #CraftBeerTastingNotes
