Best Italian Beef Carpaccio in New York šŸ–... And It Was on the House

This place has made it to the top 10 New York pasta list on Beli! I heard it’s pretty hard to get a reservation, but we managed to get a table by booking two weeks in advance. Maybe it was because it was a weekday at noon. It’s just a 15-minute walk from NYU, perfect for a post-class meal. šŸŽ“ 🄩 Wagyu Beef Carpaccio This dish was an absolute revelation—so delicious! The raw beef is served on sourdough bread, which is already sliced into four pieces for you. The bread is seasoned with a subtle garlic flavor, and it pairs perfectly with the perfectly seasoned beef. Pure bliss! ā˜ŗļø šŸ Garganelli Not bad at all. The pasta is a bit soft, not as al dente as I prefer, but the mushrooms šŸ„ā€šŸŸ« are really flavorful and go well with the pasta. There’s also a sprinkle of cheese on top, which adds a nice touch. It would have been perfect if the pasta was firmer! šŸ Cavatelli The stewed lamb with short pasta is amazing! The pasta is firm and chewy, making you want to take bite after bite. The lamb is incredibly tender and falls apart easily. Even if you’re worried about the gamey flavor of lamb, don’t be—there’s none here! It’s perfectly cooked. My two friends who usually avoid lamb were blown away by how delicious it was. No gaminess at all! I love this dish. šŸ Pappardelle with Meat Sauce I don’t know the name of this dish because it was a complimentary offering. They felt bad because they thought our service was slow, so they comped it. 🄹 We didn’t think it was slow at all—we were just chatting. We were even surprised and told them we didn’t order it! It’s a wide pasta with some meat sauce. It’s good but not as memorable as the previous one. The pasta is chewier than the mushroom one. Since it was free, we’re not complaining! šŸŽ‰ šŸ° Olive Oil Cake Everyone raves about this cake, not the pasta. When I saw the name, I thought it might be some kind of culinary disaster, but I decided to give it a try. Oh my gosh, it was heavenly! It’s not greasy or overly sweet at all. Paired with cream, it’s just perfect. Even though I usually don’t like cream, I couldn’t stop eating it! The portion is quite large; I suggest sharing it between two people. It was a fantastic and delicious Italian lunch. The restaurant itself is very elegant and beautiful. 🐱 I’d definitely come back. It was the most satisfying meal I’ve had recently!
