Best Value Michelin Two-Star Restaurant
! New York Date Night Recommendation | Aquavit I’ve never seen such a high-value Michelin two-star restaurant. The food is delicious, perfect for a date, and the ambiance, service, and presentation are all top-notch! It’s the most satisfying date restaurant I’ve been to recently. We booked à la carte instead of the tasting menu because the downside of a tasting menu is that it takes a very long time, and you might get dishes you don’t particularly like. So when I can choose à la carte, I prefer it for more flexibility and a better time fit. Otherwise, waiting through 10 courses can be a bit much, especially for the older crowd. For the First Course, we had 7 options and tried 3: 🧀 Crispy Gnocchi - The potato dumplings are crispy and fragrant with cheese. Highly recommended! 🧇 Swedish Sourdough Waffles - Super delicious with two types of caviar. Even the accompanying onions are flavorful. This is a must-try! 🥩 Isterband - The pork sausage is good, but I’d recommend the first two options more. For the Second Course, we had 5 options and tried 3: 🥩 Wagyu Strip Loin - I usually recommend steak at a dedicated steakhouse, KBBQ, or a well-known restaurant. The steak here is decent but not exceptional. 🐟 Cod - The fish is tender and the seasoning is great. 🍡 Swedish Meatballs - These meatballs have a unique and classic Swedish flavor, served with mashed potatoes. It feels like a cozy lunch made by an old man in a beautiful setting, but this version is delicious! I’ve heard the desserts are great, so I’ll definitely try them next time. I ate too much today, but I’ll definitely come back.
