Birmingham's Two-Michelin-Star Indian Cuisine
🍲This time, the star was earned by Birmingham's Indian restaurant Opheem. Upon entering, you first sit in the lounge to change into the provided attire before enjoying the signature pre-dinner snacks. Personally, I thought the P4 curried crab crumpet was the best. We also ordered two glasses of champagne, which really set the mood. 🥂 🍲After about half an hour, we were escorted to our seats for the main course. We chose the 10-course tasting menu, which took us over three hours to complete—a very classic Michelin experience. I thought the dishes were all excellent, with each one featuring a rich Indian curry flavor and tangy, sweet sauces. If you enjoy Southeast Asian flavors, this place is definitely worth a visit. 🌟 🍲We arrived at the restaurant just before 6:30 p.m. and finished our main courses by around 10:00 p.m. We then returned to the lounge for some post-dinner snacks, which were on the sweeter side. Personally, I'm not a big fan of overly sweet foods, but that's just my preference—I usually find chocolate too sweet as well. To wrap up the evening, I ordered a cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, which was a standard filter brew. The flavor was nothing special, but it was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, it was a great experience. #atmosphericrestaurant #opheembirmingham #indiancuisine #michelinrestaurant #foodexploration
