Birmingham | A Pretty Tasty Coffee Shop | Faculty Basque

Here I am in Birmingham again, unexpectedly! 😆 Tucked inside the archway called Piccadilly, this little shop has a quaint, retro vibe. I wonder why it feels so vintage🤔. Maybe it's the brown and green chairs combined with the wooden tables. Simple yet charming, and they've been here for over a decade. There are only two baristas working inside.☕️ The coffee beans have a slightly acidic taste (though I'm not sure where they're sourced from). This place changes its beans every two weeks, and the barista does a pretty good job with the latte art.😌 The cake selection isn't huge, but everything looks so delicate. I ordered the Basque cake I'd been craving, and I have to give it a full score!💯 The balance of sweet and sour is perfect, and the texture is incredibly smooth. The last time I had something this delicious was at that Turkish gentleman's Alys Bakery in York (I wrote about it two years ago).
