Birmingham Botanical Gardens πΌ Highly Recommended!
When the weather is nice, you definitely have to visit at the end of summer! π π Highlight 1: The gardens are huge, with several greenhouses and so much to see! I personally loved the variety of flowers. I didn't have time to explore everything, but I saw plenty, such as: Lantana, Hydrangeas, Torch Ginger, Hostas, Hibiscus, Dahlias, Coral Bells, Blue Ginger, South African Daisies, Senna, Acacia, and more. There are also many trees, succulents, and cacti π΅. π Highlight 2: The outdoor areas are beautiful too. There are benches to sit and rest, with lovely views all around. There's a large lawn and you can take a walk through the woodland area. π Highlight 3: There are some animals, including a butterfly house π¦ and some beautiful, talking parrots π¦. The tearoom is also quite nice ππΌ. It opened in 1998 during the G8 summit when Tony Blair hosted world leaders and their spouses. The seating arrangement is quite interesting. I tried their coffee and walnut cakeβit was good, but the cake was a bit too sweet! π Highlight 4: On a sunny day, it's perfect for taking photos! There were very few people on weekdays, mostly moms with baby strollers. I saw some beautiful ladies in floral dresses taking photos π·. The gardens also host regular events, like outdoor movies π¬ποΈ and yoga classes. It's definitely worth the ticket price and you can spend a long time exploring. Highly recommended!
