Blenheim Palace | The Underrated Treasure Attraction 🍃
Deep in the English countryside lies a legendary manor that has witnessed the growth of Mr. Churchill and tells the secrets of ancient British culture. Blenheim Palace 🏰 Also known as Churchill Manor, Blenheim Palace was built by Queen Anne for the first Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill, who defeated Louis XIV here. 170 years later (in 1874), Churchill was born here. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, this manor is a poetic dwelling in the British countryside, and it is also famous for being the prime minister's estate. As one of Oxford's finest manors, it features a horse farm, gardens, and many other landscapes, embodying the charm of old money British life. (Enviable nobility!) Manor Scenery: The estate consists of a palace, gardens, and natural countryside, blending the British rural scenery, French romantic gardens, and Baroque-style architecture. The large lake surrounded by gardens is truly Swiss-like, with very relaxed ducks! Having visited British manors, you'll understand why Harry Potter has the Whomping Willow and other strange plants, as such peculiar and interesting plants are really abundant in British manors! Tips: ✅ My friend only booked tickets for outside the palace, but I recommend visiting the interior of the palace as well. I will definitely make up for it next time!!! ✅ Walking around the gardens outside the manor takes about an hour, with stops to admire the beautiful scenery. It's like a paradise, well worth it! You won't feel tired at all. ✅ There are shops and a café within the manor. The shop has a wide range of products, while the café only serves coffee without desserts. ✅ The manor combines French romantic gardens with British Baroque style, with blue skies, white clouds, green grass, fountains, and sculptures, exuding a strong aristocratic atmosphere, making it very photogenic. ✅ If you're planning a trip around London or Oxford, make sure to allocate a day for Blenheim Palace. You won't regret it 😉 #OffTheBeatenPath #OxfordTravel #LondonTravelGuide #NatureScenery #CulturalAttractions #UKTravel #LifeIsAWilderness #UKTravelTips #Churchill #TravelTheWorld
