Boise, Idaho Spring Road Trip with My Dog | 2025

🐾Boise, the capital of Idaho located about a 10-hour drive from the California Bay Area, offers a similar sunny climate and an incredibly dog-friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect spring road trip destination—full of natural beauty, urban energy, and plenty of spaces where your furry friend is more than welcome! šŸžļø Must-Visit Dog Spots 🐶 Together Treasure Valley Dog Island This isn’t just a dog park—it’s a 5.4-acre paradise right in the heart of downtown Boise! With wide-open grassy areas, shady trees, small hills, and even a pond, my dog had the time of his life. He played, explored, and didn’t want to leave—definitely a highlight of our trip! šŸ¦† Ann Morrison Park Duck Ponds Located nearby, these serene ponds are home to plenty of ducks, including adorable ducklings in the spring. The surrounding park offers lovely walking paths and picnic spots perfect for a relaxing afternoon. šŸ½ļø Dog-Friendly Dining & Treats šŸ“ Fork A restaurant committed to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We tried the asparagus fries (unexpectedly crispy and delicious!), the B.C.S. salad, Idaho rainbow trout, and prime rib. The portions were generous, and the mashed potatoes were exceptionally creamy and smooth—highly recommended! šŸ• The Wylder A modern spot specializing in creative pizzas. We loved the mushroom toast—rich, creamy, and surprisingly filling. The "Honey Badger" pizza lived up to its hype with a uniquely delicious flavor profile. šŸ”„ Barbacoa Grill A visually striking restaurant known for its ā€œflaming steakā€ presentation. We tried the tuna tartare, Idaho trout, and rib eye—each dish was good but didn’t fully wow us.
