š¾Boise, the capital of Idaho located about a 10-hour drive from the California Bay Area, offers a similar sunny climate and an incredibly dog-friendly atmosphere. With wide-open grassy areas, shady trees, small hills, and even a pond, my dog had the time of his life. He played, explored, and didnāt want to leaveādefinitely a highlight of our trip! š¦ Ann Morrison Park Duck Ponds Located nearby, these serene ponds are home to plenty of ducks, including adorable ducklings in the spring. The surrounding park offers lovely walking paths and picnic spots perfect for a relaxing afternoon. š½ļø Dog-Friendly Dining & Treats š“ Fork A restaurant committed to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We tried the asparagus fries (unexpectedly crispy and delicious!), the B.C.S. salad, Idaho rainbow trout, and prime rib. The portions were generous, and the mashed potatoes were exceptionally creamy and smoothāhighly recommended! š The Wylder A modern spot specializing in creative pizzas. We loved the mushroom toastārich, creamy, and surprisingly filling. The "Honey Badger" pizza lived up to its hype with a uniquely delicious flavor profile. š„ Barbacoa Grill A visually striking restaurant known for its āflaming steakā presentation. We tried the tuna tartare, Idaho trout, and rib eyeāeach dish was good but didnāt fully wow us.
