It's already AUGUST 🍃—which obviously means blasting Taylor Swift's "august" on repeat! (IYKYK) 💛 Plot twist: I've been in Florida for 20+ days now 😧 PS: I'm here through the SWT program (Summer Work & Travel)—basically a working holiday! My gig is at a theme park restaurant in Tampa! 🎢 💭 Random Brain Dumps of the Week: 1️⃣ Florida Sun is SAVAGE I'm visibly 3 shades darker now. Walk outside without an umbrella for 10 minutes? Congrats, you just unlocked free melanin! 😂 Sun-kissed? More like sun-SLAPPED. The other day I power-walked through downtown and my shoulders got SUNBURNT—bright red like a lobster. Luckily it wasn't too serious (no pain), but then... the peeling started. 🫠😐 Pro tip: SPF 1000 is not enough in this state. 2️⃣ Everything BUT Work is Fun 😭💼 My job is at a park restaurant—cashier by day, burger artist by night. It's not hard, but standing for 8 hours straight? My feet have filed for divorce. 😑 BUT I made actual friends at work! The shifts feel less like torture and more like hanging out with a side of fryer grease. Work is bearable when you're laughing with your crew. 3️⃣ A Student Who Can't Cook is Not a Real Student 🫡🍳 My culinary skills are LEVELING UP daily. I spend 1 hour every day cooking—it's my therapy session with edible results. 🤤 Xiaohongshu recipes are my bible—easy, foolproof, and honestly? Chef's kiss. My shredded chicken game is now GOD-TIER.
