Bread Haven Insights💡Top 3 New York Bakeries Review(1)

New York's bakery game is reaching new heights. It feels like every new restaurant or café these days has to have a bakery on the side 😂 🍞 We're regulars at Shewolf, La Cabra, Breads Bakery, Librae, and Dominique Ansel, but recently we tried three new places we hadn't visited before. Here's a summary for all you bread enthusiasts! 🌊🌿Overall, the quality is getting more refined, but so are the prices. When we saw that Papa d'amour was selling a single custard tart for 💰5, we almost had a heart attack. You could get two for that price at Tai Ban, but they're not twice as tasty! 📍 Papa d'amour, 64 Univ Pl This is pastry master Dominique Ansel's new venture, located right by Washington Square. 🌊🌿 When it first opened, there were hours-long queues, but now you can just walk in! The shop is filled with Asian-inspired pastries that are absolutely stunning in appearance. 🥪 Five-Spice Pork Cutlet Sando The pork is flavorful, and the bread is soft and chewy—a highlight of our visit! It seems to be for dine-in only, though. 🥨 Pretzel Custard Tart A sweet and salty treat with a pretzel crust. The concept is creative, but while Northerners might think it's overpriced, Southerners might argue that innovation comes at a cost. 🥐 Scallion Oil Roll We took this one home and reheated it the next day. It was still pretty good. ⚫️ Black Sesame Jam Jar Cute in appearance, best enjoyed in the shop. It has a rich, soft texture but is a bit on the sweet side. 🌊🌿 #NewYork 🌟
