Brooklyn Burmese cuisine--Rangoon
—————— 🔆Restaurant Name: Rangoon 🌿Ambience: The door is adorned with a window panel featuring intricate openwork patterns. Each space for outdoor dining is separated by cloth with ethnic motifs. There's even a photo of Bernie on one of the seats, which I mistook for a real person until I realized it was just a picture. 🤣 🍽Food: 🧅 Onion fritters: These are an appetizer with a crispy texture, and the tangy dipping sauce on the side is very refreshing. 🥘 Sweet & Tangy Braised Pork: The star of the meal, the pork is well-balanced in fat and lean, braised until tender and flavorful, with a hint of spiciness. It comes with a sweet piece of yam, but in comparison, the portion of rice is a bit small. 🍜 Lemongrass fish noodle soup: Not particularly recommended, although the broth is rich, the flavor is quite one-dimensional. Even with the addition of lime, it doesn't feel very refreshing (however, the fried onions soaked in the soup become unexpectedly delicious). Overall, it's highly recommended. 👍🏼 If you happen to be near the Brooklyn Museum or have never tried Burmese cuisine, it's worth a visit. 📍Location: 500 Prospect Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11238 ⏰Operating Hours: Monday: Closed Tuesday to Thursday: 5 PM - 9 PM Friday to Sunday: Noon - 9 PM 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM —————— #Brooklyn#Rangoon#new york#Burmese cuisine
