Brooklyn Taiwanese Cuisine Discovery ๐
Wenwenโs Braised Beef Noodles ๐ ๐ป๐One night, I stumbled upon a post on social media about a Taiwanese restaurant called Wenwen in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The post highlighted their Taiwanese beef noodles. On a whim, I decided to visit the next day, right when they opened on Sunday noon. As soon as I walked in, I saw that the place was packed, and without a reservation, I had to sit at the bar. ๐ ๐ป๐The decor of Wenwen features wooden elements, warm lighting, and greenery, blending a nostalgic Taiwanese style. The atmosphere is lively, with mostly young customers. ๐ฟ๐ The menu includes a wide variety of dishes, from stir-fries and appetizers to home-cooked meals. I ordered the braised beef noodles, which had a rich broth, chewy noodles, and large pieces of tender beef shank. ๐ป๐ The portion was generous! I also tried a rare cold dishโgarlic and flavored bamboo shoot shreds. It was tangy, numbing, and perfect with a beer. ๐ป๐ #Wenwen #TaiwaneseBeefNoodles #TaiwaneseRestaurant ๐๐
