Brussels’ FAVORITE Museum AAAAA 🎭✨🔥💖🏛️🤩
This place was on my bucket list since the first week I moved to Belgium 🗓️⏳💭. Every week felt like I had plenty of time, but I kept procrastinating until the end of the year when I finally squeezed in an afternoon between heavy assignments 📚✏️😩. The first thing I did upon entering was visit the restroom—only to find that even the area outside was part of the exhibition 🚻🖼️🤯. Now that’s next level. Europe is full of ancient architecture 🏰🌍, and the Halle Gate has over 600 years of history ⏳🕰️🏰. Compared to Bruges’ more striking medieval buildings, the Halle Gate near Brussels-South Station is quite low-key 🚉🤫🧱. This structure once served as a city gate, later a prison, and now houses exhibits on Brussels’ urban history 🏛️🔗📜. No idea why there’s a rubber duck, though 🦆❓🤨. The museum offers audio guides 🎧📱💡, which provide more than enough information. My favorite part was the dollhouse on the top floor 🏠👧—having such a toy in the early 20th century was no small feat (as the audio guide said) 🎙️👀💎. It preserves a classic house model, vividly showcasing daily life back then 🛋️🪑🍽️. Friends visiting Brussels for a day trip might want to venture south 👯♀️🗺️👉. #citywalk #citywalk #TakeaWalk #City #MuseumsWorthVisiting #SharingofCulturalandHistoricalScenicSpots #MyDailyLife #Off-the-Beaten-PathTravelDestinations #Brussels #LifeinBelgium
