Brussels Adventure: Cooling Tower of a Nearby Coal-Fired Power Plant

Belgium felt a bit too boring for me, so I made a special trip to explore this unique industrial spot! 🚂 How to Get There Take a train to Marchienne-au-Pont Station. Walk 2 kilometers to Koeltoren Electrabel in onbruik (the decommissioned Electrabel cooling tower). Just head toward the tall tower shown in Photo 3—you can’t miss it! 🧗♂️ Exploration Tips Entrance: Easy to find—follow the small path, walk around the tower, and go to the innermost area. Marker: Look for a rubber glove nearby—it can help you confirm the right spot. Climbing Spot: Start climbing from the “6” marked position. Safety Note: We climbed without any equipment or protective gear, but it’s highly recommended to bring gloves, climbing ropes, and other safety gear if you have them—it will make the climb much safer ⚠️. 📸 Photo Tip The view from the top is awesome!
