Brussels Only Needs 3 Hours – Max! ⏳
Brussels’ attractions are super centralized—you can check off all the main spots in just over 2 hours on foot. Let’s be real: it’s just the “European standard trio”: square, church, and bell tower. If your itinerary is tight, there’s no need to make a special trip here—nothing about the sights or food stands out much 😐. 🍫 Food & Dining Thoughts Chocolate: I tried 4 different brands. Since I love sweet things, I thought none were bad—and at that price point, it’s hard for them to taste terrible. There are so many flavors, though, it’s overwhelming to choose. Restaurant Warning: Skip Chez Leon (the top “influencer” spot near Grand Place)! I found it totally underwhelming. The mussels were more expensive than other places, and the pasta I ordered was completely unsalted—like the chef forgot it existed 🥺. 🛡️ Safety Notes I mostly stayed near Brussels Central Station and didn’t feel unsafe. I also went to Brussels Midi Station twice to catch trains (stayed inside the station) and felt fine there too. That said, there are homeless people and refugees on the streets. I stuck to busy pedestrian streets at night, and overall felt secure. ✨ The Only Real Pro Brussels has tons of hotels! If you’re planning to explore other parts of Belgium, it’s a great base—no need to switch hotels or repack luggage every day. I stayed here for 3 days, taking day trips to different nearby places by train 🚂. #Belgium #BelgiumTravel #Brussels #BrusselsFood
