Brussels Stirwen

Michelin Recommended: 15/20 💰€€€ French Cuisine You can order à la carte or a set menu. The set menu comes without a menu, which is a bit of a pity, so you can’t tell if you’re getting a 4-course, 5-course, or 6-course meal. Overall, it feels average, very French, but a bit boring; I prefer something more creative. The scallop appetizer was very tender, but the overpowering celery flavor in the sauce completely masked the seafood taste. 🦪🥒 The venison was cooked to a perfect tenderness, and the red wine sauce was a bit over-reduced. The accompanying mushrooms were truly aromatic. 🦌🍷 I really don’t feel like commenting on the dessert. This time I opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, and I felt a bit disappointed. They say the set menu is a surprise, but each beverage pairing corresponds directly to the food. I would have preferred a pairing that complements the dish, rather than a direct translation of the ingredients into a drink. Whether it’s the facilities, service, or the style of the dishes, it seems they’re not aiming for a star just yet. The prices are reasonable, though. #BeautifulMealsEncountered #Brussels
