Butterface | Vegas Food Diary 🍽️

Restaurant: Butterface A relatively new brunch spot. Since the menus at typical American breakfast joints around here are pretty boring 😴, I had some hopes for this "Italian-inspired brunch" 🤔. The menu does have some Italian twists—like replacing bacon with prosciutto in most dishes. Porchetta Breakfast Skillet: The porchetta paired well with the slightly crispy potatoes. The flavor wasn’t bad, but it was way too salty 🥵. I thought the potatoes would balance the saltiness, but nope—they were just as salty. A struggle to finish... Prosciutto Benedict: I appreciate the creativity, but the execution? Not so much. Pan-frying the prosciutto made it oddly greasy 🫢. Why not keep it fresh, like in a salmon Benedict? Chicken & Waffle: A total letdown 🙄. Not sure why this dish even exists—plus, it took 30 minutes to arrive. The waffle was soggy like cotton, and the "fried chicken" was a dry, low-fat disaster. My air fryer at home does a better job. Peach Bruschetta: The bread wasn’t even toasted—chewing it felt like a jaw workout 💪. The goat cheese and raw onion hit way too strong, and the whole thing tasted like low-quality supermarket ingredients thrown together. Peach Cobbler French Toast: Ordered it because it looked good in photos, but when it arrived…what is that messy swirl on top? 😅 Taste-wise, it was okay—sweet and satisfying. The French toast was a bit dry, but still edible. If you come during peak brunch hours, it’s way too busy—good luck making eye contact with your server 👀. After 12 PM, the crowd thins out significantly. Final thoughts: Like many new restaurants, the concept seems fun, but the attitude toward food feels careless 😐. They just stack "pretty" ingredients together, charge overpriced rates, and don’t seem to care about flavor. The space is cramped but clean. And the name? Pretty tacky, if you ask me 😅. Probably won’t be returning. #VegasFood #LasVegasEats
