Can’t Stop Dreaming About This Bistro’s Braised Beef Brisket! 🍷🫕
📍 D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro While visiting White Sands National Park, we stayed in Alamogordo—a small town with limited dining options, and many places close early. Found this spot on Google Maps rated as one of the best local restaurants, and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend their Country Pot Roast—a Southern classic. The beef is incredibly tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. Served with veggies and creamy mashed potatoes… pure comfort food heaven! ❤️🍲 It’s officially on my comfort food list now. We also tried the fried shrimp appetizer 🍤—decent, with a sweet and sour glaze reminiscent of sweet and pork ribs. The mussels were just okay—not bad, but not memorable either. The seafood was a bit small and not the freshest. For dessert, we ordered crème brûlée, but it was too runny—almost like a soup. However, dipping the pre-meal baguette in it turned out pretty tasty! 🥖🍮 We had a bottle of Riesling—super smooth, sweet, and refreshing. Loved it! 🥂 Great value for money! We enjoyed three courses plus wine, all for under $100 for two people. The ambiance was lovely, service was excellent—true fine dining vibes. The outdoor patio has live music and cozy string lights… the atmosphere was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend 🌟🎶 #NewMexico #WhiteSands #NewMexicoFood #Alamogordo #FoodRecommendation #WineryDining #ComfortFood #FineDiningExperience #LocalEats #TravelAndEat
