Canada Michelin Star 🌟· Best Value Dining

For dinner, we chose Quetzal because Mexico is my spiritual homeland, and my boyfriend loves Mexican food 👨🏽‍🍳. In Toronto, where prices keep rising, it was shocking that a Michelin-starred meal for two cost less than $300! After eating, I looked it up on xhs and, sure enough, it’s known as the king of Michelin value. Here are a few memorable dishes: 🐚 Newfoundland Scallops: A simple yet delightful grilled scallop dish with a drizzle of garlic butter. I prefer my scallops raw, and many seafood places overcook and overseason them. Here, the cooking was just right. 🌮 Empanada Oaxaqueña: The most anticipated lamb taco. The corn tortilla was fragrant with each bite. You could tell the upscale salsa was trying to cater to various tastes, but in doing so, it lost some of that unique Mexican flavor. 🥩 Dry-Aged Hudson Valley Duck Breast: After the June menu update, the portion of duck breast is now half of what it used to be, but the meat is fattier. The texture is reminiscent of foie gras, but it’s a bit too rare and hard to chew. The Mexican touch might be in those few slices of sweet pepper 🌶️, which turned out to be our favorite part of the dish. 🍸 Sorry Heather: Looking around, almost every table had ordered this celery juice cocktail. I found it tasty, but my boyfriend said it reminded him of drinking green juice on a diet. 🍸 The Neighborhood Ice: A purple concoction, standard but not unpleasant. #HighlyRecommendLocalFood #Toronto #LifeInToronto #GreatEats #WhatToEatToday #TorontoFoodie ### Name: Quetzal Address: 409 College St. Toronto ON M5T 1T1 Canada Type: Restaurant ###
