Canada | Pan-Seared Tender Duck with Cilantro Rice is Absolutely Amazing 🥹

This place is my true love. It received the Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation and the Outstanding Cocktail Award last year 🌟. I believe it’s a shoo-in for a Michelin star this year. I recommend ordering à la carte rather than opting for the tasting menu. 🦆 ARROZ CON PATO This dish is incredibly delicious and a must-have every time I visit 🌟. The pan-seared, tender duck breast and leg give you two types of duck meat in one dish 🦆. The succulent meat is served over aromatic cilantro rice! It’s topped with a duck egg cooked sunny-side up with a runny yolk 🍳. 😍 If you love foie gras, definitely add it‼️ It melts in your mouth, rich but not greasy. The waiter mentioned that with foie gras, the dish is called “duck duck goose.” 🐙 OCTOPUS ANTICUCHER Sitting at the bar not only lets you watch the mixologists but also the grilling process. The tender octopus tentacles sizzle on the grill 🔥. The crispy exterior is full of smoky flavor, while the inside remains tender. It’s served with Argentine spicy sauce—slightly tangy and spicy, absolutely delicious! 🍤 PRAWN & SCALLOP CAUSA The prawns are juicy and crispy from a light batter 🥹. Paired with scallop sashimi, it balances out the fried elements. The golden, fluffy mashed potatoes at the bottom are perfectly seasoned—one bite after another! 🐂 LOMO SALTADO This soy-sauce stir-fried beef is served in large chunks, with a flavor reminiscent of Chinese cuisine. It includes tomatoes, yellow peppers, and roasted potato wedges 🥔, making it a balanced mix of meat and veggies. It comes with a side of jasmine rice. 🐚 EAST COAST SCALLOP TIRADITO The scallop sashimi is very fresh, but the accompanying sauce is quite tangy. If you’re not a fan of sour flavors, you might want to skip this. The portion is also on the smaller side. 🥔 YUCAS FRITAS NIKKEI These aren’t ordinary potato fries; they’re cassava fries! They have a unique texture and are quite tasty as an appetizer. Definitely worth trying! 🍹 Cocktails ✅ Good: Undergrowth, Drift, Flora (non-alcoholic) ❎ Didn’t quite get: Threads 🔔 Reservation Tip The restaurant is small, so it’s usually easier to book for two. I recommend getting on the waitlist—if a table becomes available, they’ll call you!
