Canada's No.1 Sister Restaurant | A Picture-Perfect Spot 🌟📸

Even though I visited the legendary Canadian restaurant Published on Main early on and had a disappointing experience, I haven’t missed a single one of its sister restaurants. After a letdown at Bar Susu, I decided to give the new spot another chance. The ambiance here continues the group’s tradition: fresh and comfortable. The gray-blue tones with greenery make it perfect for photos—though sadly, our table of three was in a dim corner. The booth in the cover photo looked much better, sadly! 🌿🖼️ Overall, the food here is much better than at Published and Susu, with more generous portions than expected. Foie Gras Puff: Highly recommended! The combination of foie gras and cherry sauce is rich but not overwhelming, and the pistachio crunch adds a lovely nutty flavor. The crispy outer layer seems inspired by Turkish desserts. 🦆🍒🌰 Salad: Just a simple mix of leafy greens, balsamic vinaigrette, and sunflower seeds. It’s refreshing but nothing special. 🥗 Beef Tartare Toast: At $17, this is a great value. The warm sourdough is crispy on the outside and soft inside, topped with a generous amount of meat and sauce. The flavor is rich but not greasy. Quite satisfying! 🥩🍞 Duck Confit: The dish appeared to have a lot of meat, but most of it was actually soaked bread chunks (though delicious). The actual duck pieces were few and hidden, but the overall taste was good. 🍂🍗 Squid Noodles: When it first arrived, I thought it was just a plate of cilantro, which didn’t match the menu picture. But digging in revealed plenty of squid, sliced into noodle shapes and quite refreshing. The overall flavor is tangy-sweet Thai style, but if you dislike cilantro, skip this one. 🦑🍜🌶️ Char Siu Pork Neck: Though it’s the only main course, it’s more char siu on the outside, with tender meat and a bit of juiciness inside. The seasoning is a bit odd with kimchi butter sauce, but it’s surprisingly decent. 🍖🔥 In summary, the food and portions are a level up from the other two places, though the wine is a bit pricey ($15 for 5oz of white). It’s visually stunning and perfect for photos, but I probably won’t be back for now. #VancouverLife #Vancouver#VancouverEats #Foodie #VancouverRestaurants #FoodieFinds #EatingOut #VancouverDining ### Name: Restaurant Vignette Address: 2650 Main St, Vancouver Type: Restaurant ###
