Canada's Underrated Delicious Little Restaurant

Okay, maybe not so underrated—it's actually on the Michelin-recommended list! The menu changes frequently, so I missed out on the Michelin-recommended 🐂 dish. But don't underestimate the first plate of fries + green peppers + 🐂—it was really good! 👍🏾 The meat was tender and flavorful, though I found it a tad salty. My friend thought the seasoning was just right, and the sauce underneath balanced out the saltiness perfectly. The fish was super refreshing, paired with a pickle relish and sweet cherry tomatoes that were so good I wanted to take them home for my salads. It’s rare for me, someone who never eats veggies outside, to end up eating a lot of green peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes here! 🫡 The chicken liver mousse was incredibly smooth, and the bread it came with was super soft. The pickled radishes were also delicious. I can't believe this restaurant got me to eat veggies! The shrimp was a bit average—half-butterflied with slightly charred shells, and served with a chili sauce. It looked pretty dark, but after peeling the shell and dipping it in the sauce, it was decent, though not extraordinary. The place is really small and has a vintage vibe, but it's very cozy. I’ll definitely be back next time! #WhatsForDinner #TorontoEats #TorontoFood #TorontoDining #TorontoLife #LifeInToronto #TorontoFoodie #RestaurantRecommendation #TorontoFoodRecommendations #FoodieLife ### Name: The Wood Owl Address: 1380 Danforth Ave. Go early and you might even catch the sunset at Riverdale!
