Cardiff Itinerary (2.5w Steps Edition)🏴
disembark at Cardiff Central ➡️ Follow the River Taff and pass by the Millennium Stadium ➡️ Take a brief stroll in Bute Park, which is right next to Cardiff Castle. The scenery is quite nice. 🌳 ➡️ After crossing the park, visit the National Museum Cardiff first. You can see authentic works by Van Gogh and Monet. ⚠️ (The exhibitions are on the second floor. Van Gogh is to the left after entering, then upstairs and turn left again. Monet is to the right. The museum is not very large. Viewing Van Gogh requires a voluntary donation, with a suggested minimum of £1 per person. You can donate at the service desk on the first floor for two plastic tokens.) ➡️ Then find a Chinese restaurant. The average cost is around £13 per person. It’s quite tasty but a bit salty. Postal code: CF24 4AE. ➡️ If you skip lunch, you can visit the museum and then head to the castle. You can take a boat from the castle to Cardiff Bay. 🛥️ ➡️ There are many souvenir shops opposite the castle. I recommend Historical Wales. You can get two fridge magnets for £7, which is good value and they look nice. The shop next door sells three fridge magnets for £10, so you can decide after checking them out. 🛍️ ➡️ We didn’t take a boat, taxi, or bus. We walked directly from Cardiff Castle to the sea. Along the way, you can pass by The Little Welsh Company, where you can buy Jellycat products. 🐾 ➡️ It takes about an hour to walk from Cardiff Castle to the sea. Directly navigate to Cardiff Bay Barrage. You’ll pass through the city center of Cardiff, which has a huge carousel and some nice street views. 🎡 ➡️ Once you reach the sea, you can continue walking along the coast. You can even make it to Vale of Glamorgan and take the nearest bus back to Cardiff Central. 🚌 ➡️ There are many fantastic pubs around the station! I recommend The Prince of Wales (Cardiff CF10 1FA). It offers great value. We tried the Double Shots flavors: Strawberries and Cream and Baby Guinness, as well as Jameson with cola from the Whisky section. They were all delicious! Highly recommend Jameson. 🍻 ➡️ Return journey #birminghamarea #universityofbirmingham #cardiff #daytripsfrombirmingham
