🍜 Casual Ramen Spot with Good Tonkotsu: Kanada-Ya, Angel and more
Overall Rating: 3.3/5 ⭐⭐⭐ Recommendation: Tonkotsu X ramen Per Person: ~£15 Operating Hours: 12:00-22:00 This was my first time at Kanada-Ya, and here's my review. 📝 What I Got: Tonkotsu X ramen: £12.50 Salmon onigiri: £3.50 Karaage: £6.50 🍲 Tonkotsu X Ramen: Their specialty is tonkotsu ramen, so I got the Tonkotsu X, which comes with all the toppings (I added seaweed). The broth was good but not really special, and it wasn't hot enough. 🍜 Noodles: I got my noodles extra hard, but maybe I'll just get the hard ones next time because they felt more undercooked than extra hard. 🥓 Pork Belly: The pork belly was tasty but too thin. However, I really liked the egg. It was perfectly marinated and right in between soft and hard-boiled. 🍙 Onigiri: The onigiri lacked filling and was quite expensive for what it is. 🍗 Karaage: I liked the karaage, but I personally prefer the soft/less crunchy type of karaage. 💁 Customer Service: Finally, I personally didn't receive very good customer service when I went. 🔍 Overall Thoughts: Overall, I think it's a pretty good option for ramen in London, but I don't think I would recommend it over other chains. #ramen #angel #japanesefood #Asianfood #londonrestaurants #londonlife #londonfoodguide #londonguide
