Just a 1-hour 40-minute drive from Manhattan, Mohonk Mountain House offers the perfect upstate escape for hiking, kayaking, and soaking in serene lake views. š¶āāļø Hike Made Easy We drove straight to the mid-level parking lot and started our hike from there. A gentle 40-minute walk brought us right to the stunning Mountain Houseāa historic resort perched beside a glassy alpine lake. From there, we continued upward for another 20 minutes to Skytop Tower, where sweeping views of the Hudson Valley awaited š. The trail is well-maintained and relatively flatāideal for a relaxed day out.
