Chantecler, Toronto | A Retro Street Corner Tavern
Visited this charming little spot with friends, and it’s got a wonderfully retro vibe. The decor is quaint, with a patio on one side and ivy covering the walls. The ambiance created by the breeze is super cozy and perfect for a date. It’s not too crowded, making it an ideal spot to relax. Plus, there’s another bar just across the street, so you can easily continue your evening—perfect! 🍷✨ Recommended Dishes: 🍮 Duck Liver Mousse: The mousse paired with blueberry sauce is quite nice, but the four large butter cookies on the side were a bit too heavy and rich. If you prefer lighter flavors and aren’t into overly sweet dishes, you might want to skip this one. 🥬 Pan-Seared Scallops: The scallops were very tender and tasty, though I’m still unsure about the green oil sauce they came with. 🦆 Duck Breast: This was a highlight! The duck breast was tender, and the crispy skin on the duck leg was flavorful and satisfying. Definitely recommended! Overall, while I wouldn’t recommend the duck liver mousse, the rest of the dishes were solid, if not particularly dazzling. Next stop: Overpressure Club across the street for more fun! 🍸 #TorontoFoodExploration #TorontoEats #HiddenGems #TorontoDowntown #TorontoDT #TorontoRestaurantRecommendations #TorontoFoodie #TorontoDining ### Name: Chantecler Address: 798 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6G 1L9 Type: Restaurant ###
