Charleston Food Diary | 7 Meals in 3 Days ๐ฆช๐ฆ๐ง๐
If youโre visiting Charleston, make reservations in advance! I booked all my wishlist spots a week ahead, and it made the trip so much smoother. Hereโs my food journey: ๐ Pearlz Oyster Bar A casual seafood spot, but the oysters blew my mind โ so fresh and sweet compared to inland options! ๐ฆช The seafood pasta was also generously loaded. ๐ Lewis Barbecue No. 1 Texas BBQ in town! ๐ฅฉ Must-try: Sliced brisket + Green Chili Corn Pudding (weirdly creamy and delicious!). ๐ Pink Bellies Award-winning Vietnamese fusion? ๐ Lamb Dumplings: Tasted like spicy wontons โ surprisingly good! OG Garlic Noodles: Heavy on hot sauce ๐ฅต Fried Chicken Ice Cream: Cute but overpriced at $7 for a tiny portion. ๐ Hymanโs Seafood A historic seafood joint โ we sat at Pharrell Williamsโ table! ๐ถ Shrimp & Grits: Cheesy and rich (get the appetizer portion unless you love leftovers). Overhyped but fun for the vibe. ๐ Ruby Sunshine Solid brunch spot ๐ณ St. Charles Chicken Biscuit: Crispy, tender chicken ๐คค Peach & Cream French Toast: Safe but sweet choice. Portions areโฆ dainty. ๐ The Obstinate Daughter Hip fine dining on Sullivanโs Island ๐๏ธ Short Rib Ragu + The Old Danger Pizza โ decent but not mind-blowing. Great ambiance, but food didnโt justify the hype. ๐ Fleet Landing Waterfront views + huge portions! ๐ French Toast + Pulled Pork = ๐ She Crab Soup: Rich, creamy, and oh-so-Southern. ๐ฅฃ #100RestaurantsChallenge #Charleston #FoodDiary #SeafoodLover #SouthernEats #TravelEats #BigEater #LowCalFeast ๐๐ฝ๏ธ
