Charleston Food Guide π€β¨
Hereβs my delicious journey through Charlestonβs culinary scene: 1οΈβ£ Hymanβs Seafood πππππ A 125-year-old institution run by 5 generations of the same family! π Always packed (even in pouring rain! π§οΈ). Lobster Roll: Absolutely incredible β no exaggeration! π¦ Margarita: Solid + fun bonus: if your bill has 4 matching numbers, you get a free drink! π²πΉ Pro tip: Sit at the bar to skip the wait! 2οΈβ£ Delaney Oyster House πππππ π¦ͺ Must-try oysters! So fresh β you can see them shucking at the entrance. Hushpuppies with Chives: Light, non-greasy, and flavorful. Thai Chili Margarita: Spicy and refreshing (theyβll replace it if you donβt like it!). Upstairs seating has great ambiance! 3οΈβ£ La PΓ’tisserie πππππ Frangipane Pastry: So good I dare you to try it β not overly sweet! π₯ Even non-dessert lovers will be obsessed (I took one to go!). Latte was average, but the pastries shine. 4οΈβ£ Church and Union Charleston πππ Ready or Orgeat Cocktail: Refreshing cucumber-strawberry mix π₯π Lamb Burger: Just okay β came for the crab cake but missed it (lunch menu only until 2 PM π’). 5οΈβ£ Middleton Place Restaurant ππππ Set in the Gone with the Wind-inspired gardens! π³ Crab Soup: Creamy but a tad salty (better with bread!). Benedict Eggs: Good, but the cheesy grits stole the show! π§π Farm-to-table freshness! 6οΈβ£ Biscuit (City Market) π₯ Their branded biscuit mixes make great souvenirs! π 7οΈβ£ The Pineapple Hut π Pineapple Yogurt Ice Cream: Worth it! π¦ The large size (in a pineapple) is perfect for photos β but even the staff warned me itβs huge! π #CharlestonEats #SouthernFood #SeafoodLover #TravelGuide #FoodieAdventure π΄π
