Charleston Food Review: Salty Southern Flavors 🧂🍤

Here’s my honest take on Charleston’s famously salty culinary scene: 1️⃣ 82 Queen 👑 We tried: Crab Soup 🦀 Chicken Liver 🍗 Soft Shell Crab 🦀 Jambalaya 🍚 The food was flavorful and well-made, but extremely salty! 😵💦 The soft shell crab was crispy and delicious (but salty). Chicken liver was rich and paired well with grits and sauce. Every dish required chugging water between bites. Recommended for serious salt lovers only! 2️⃣ Pineapple Hut 🍍 Pineapple Sorbet: Refreshing, not too sweet, with a tangy pineapple juice base. Perfect for cooling down! ❄️ 3️⃣ 167 Raw Oyster Bar 🦪 No wait at 1:30 PM (thanks to rain!). Ordered: Oysters: Fresh, smooth, no fishy taste — amazing with their secret sauce! Calamari: Good but not super crispy. Crab Roll: lived up to expectations! 🦀 Lavender Fog 🍹: Light, floral, and refreshing. Santorini Sunburn ❌: Pretty but not tasty. 4️⃣ Lewis Barbecue 🍖 Lived up to the hype! Brisket, Ribs, Sausage: Smoky, tender, and perfectly cooked. Sides were generous and worth it. Tip: Order by the half-pound — 1 lb of meat + sausage was perfect for 2 girls. 5️⃣ The Griffon 💵 A bar covered in dollar bills — so quirky! Fried Shrimp and Buffalo Yakitori Chicken were delicious. Fries were extra crispy — paired well with their tangy house ketchup. 🍟 6️⃣ La Pâtisserie 🍰 A must-try dessert spot! Sweet but not overwhelming, with complex flavors. The Ruby (three-flavor combo) was a standout — layers melted in your mouth. 😋 #CharlestonEats #SouthernFood #SaltyButGood #FoodReview #SeafoodLover #BBQ #TravelEats 🍴✨
