Charleston Southern Charm ⭐️
🏨 The Palmetto Cafe at The Charleston Place Located inside The Charleston Place hotel, their Sunday brunch buffet is fantastic—the roasted chicken and Prime Rib are delicious, especially with their signature sauces. The service is warm and attentive, with staff remembering our names. The sunlit sunroom setting, with sunlight streaming through the windows, creates a relaxing ambiance. At $110 per person, it’s a bit pricey, but the AMEX FHR credit makes it a great value. The hotel sits in downtown Charleston, within walking distance to most Old Town attractions. There are also some nice boutiques inside the hotel. Shoutout to the amazing service—even the valet remembered my name the next day! 😊 🏨 Camellias & Gabrielle at Hotel Bennett A pink-themed bar that’s every girl’s dream—literally, the place was full of women! Their truffle fries were amazing, even when cold. The cauliflower risotto was a unique, healthier twist. Service was just as impeccable as at The Charleston Place. The hotel exudes old-money Southern elegance in its room designs. 🍽️ Circa 1886 Restaurant A 4.8-star Google-rated Southern fine-dining spot. Complimentary amuse-bouche with rich flavors—the soup in the tiny cup was piping hot (big plus!). The Caesar salad, asparagus risotto, and fried pork belly were perfectly balanced and served quickly (I love efficient service!). The Lemon Fish was disappointingly dense, almost like chicken. The antelope, while lean, lacked a robust sauce to complement its gamey flavor. Soufflé with lemon ice cream & blueberry sauce was heavenly—light, airy, and divine with the toppings. The strawberry mousse cake, however, was just average—a bit grainy but Instagram-worthy. ⛲️ Cypress Gardens A 40-minute drive from downtown Charleston, this garden is famous for its boat rides (thanks, influencer recs!). Unfortunately, they don’t take reservations (first-come, first-served), and by Sunday, there was already a 30-person queue. Maybe skipping it in this heat was for the best anyway. #USTravel #AmericanLife #Charleston #Travel
