Cherry Blossom Viewing in Fukuoka | Nishi Park 🌸

Nishi Park is located on the northern side of Fukuoka and was formerly known as "Arazato - yama," a natural hilly area. 🌟🌸 In 1881, it was developed and planted with various trees and plants to become a park. The park features three lookout plazas that offer panoramic views of Fukuoka City, Hakata Bay, Shiga Island, and Noko Island from above. Since Nishi Park has been protected as a scenic spot since the Edo period, it still retains the plants from that time, such as Japanese chinquapin, oak, and camphor trees. 🌟🌸 In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful red leaves and ginkgo. This time, I also saw quite a few cute little cats! 🐱 🌟 Of course, it's also a great place for cherry blossom viewing, with a total of 1,300 cherry blossom trees. In spring, Somei Yoshino and Yaezakura (double - flowered cherry blossoms) compete to bloom. Fukuoka Prefecture's Nishi Park is the only one listed in the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." 🌟🌸Every year from late March to early April, the Nishi Park Cherry Blossom Festival is held. Rows of food stalls line the entrance avenue, where you can taste local delicacies and participate in various cultural experience activities. At night, the cherry blossom valley and the area in front of Kōun Shrine are illuminated. 🌟🌸 The night cherry blossoms under the lights are simply breathtaking. 🌅 ⏰ Cherry Blossom Festival Dates: 2025/3/27 - 4/7. Lighting starts after sunset. 🚞 How to Get There: Get off at Ohori Park Station or Tangren Town and walk for about 7 minutes. #FlowerReport #SpringSwap 🌿
