๐ŸŽ‰ Citywalk! Asakusa Temple Fun Guide ๐ŸŽ‰

The Asakusa Temple in Tokyo is the oldest temple in the city. Get a fortune, an amulet, and a piece of peace of mind! ๐Ÿ™ After visiting Asakusa Temple, don't rush off; there are many delicious and fun spots around. Follow this guide to explore! ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ โฐ Playtime: 2.5-3 hours Although it opens at 9 AM, it's recommended to arrive around 10 AM. We started at 9 AM, and many of the small shops along the street were closed, which was a bit of a bummer. ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ“ Route: Get off at Asakusa Temple Station - Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) - Walk inside and explore the small shops, grab some snacks (the strawberry daifuku in photo 6 is pretty good!) - Get a fortune and an amulet - Main Hall (about 1 hour should be enough). After exploring Asakusa Temple, check out the nearby shops (within a 10-minute walk). โœ… Asuka Coffee: Said to be the best coffee in Asia. I ordered a cup of the day's coffee, and it was decent, but it's hard to say how great it really is. โ˜• โš ๏ธ If you want to sit at the entrance, enjoy your coffee, and soak up some sun, don't choose take away. In China, for convenience, even shops will serve you in a takeout cup, but in Japan, we sat with our takeout cups and the staff came out to shoo us away, saying that these cups are not for sitting here. It was a bit frustrating. ๐Ÿ˜‘ โœ… Sukiyakien: The world's richest matcha ice cream, and it's really delicious! But it only opens at 11 AM, so don't come early! ๐Ÿ˜… Otherwise, you'll be as restless as I was. โš ๏ธ Imagine walking down the street, enjoying your ice cream cone with a smile... That's just a fantasy in Japan. Eating on the street is not allowed, and shops will have designated eating areas. So when I got my ice cream and went upstairs, I saw a few long benches without backs filled with people from all over the world enjoying their matcha ice cream. It was quite a funny scene. ๐Ÿ˜† โœ… Sanrio Store: If you're a fan of Sanrio, you won't leave empty-handed. #AsakusaTemple #JapanFreeTravel #JapanTravelGuide #DayTrip #TokyoJapan #CulturalAttractions #Travelogue #HolidayCitywalk #OffbeatSpots
