Clearing Out Inventory: Ranting about New York's Andaz 5th Avenue (2)
Location and Arrival The location isn't too bad, right across from the library. Every time I pass by, I'm almost stunned by the beauty of the library. π However, the hotel itself is next to a construction site that's cordoned off. The entrance is almost invisible, and the map keeps directing the car to the wrong side of the street. πΈπ When you get out of the car, no one acknowledges you or opens the door. π One Good Thing π The one thing I have to commend is the high ceiling on the ground floor. That might be the only plus point. π Check-in Experience πΈπ Check-in was relatively smooth, but I couldn't quite appreciate the novel setup of three people standing in a circle with three computers in the lobby. During check-in, I was formally informed that all non-alcoholic items in the mini bar are free. π My expectations were sky-high. When I entered the room and saw the mini bar, I actually laughed. πΈπIt contained just one piece of chocolate and a bag of Cape Cod chips. Isn't this the basic snack combo for a midday lecture back in student days? These two items are so sparsely placed, with too much empty space on the shelf. It looks a bit pitiful, doesn't it? π #NewYork π
