Cleveland Food Review|Kyuramen
Visited the newly opened ramen spot in Strongsville (Kyuramen x TBaar) 🍜 【Popcorn Chicken】 A bit dry, in my opinion… and the coating wasn’t the right kind—it should’ve been made with coarse sweet potato starch, but this had zero crunchiness 😕 On the bright side: a few pieces of basil were pretty nice! 🌿 【Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen】 Tasted exactly like Ajisen Ramen! Literally no difference (which feels a bit old-school to me, tbh). The chashu was on the fatty side—might not be for you if you don’t like rich pork 🐷 【Spicy Tonkotsu】 In my friend’s words: “It’s alright, pretty standard.” I thought the first sip was spicy, but it mellowed out. Still, I always feel like spiciness overpowers the tonkotsu flavor… 🌶️🤔 【Pork Cutlet Omurice】 Maybe because I saw so many negative reviews on , my expectations were low—so I actually thought it was okay 😅 The pork cutlet was crispy, but why serve it on lettuce? 💦 The lettuce releases moisture, and with the steam, the bottom got soggy within minutes. The omelette was tasty—rice was just fine (but maybe carbs shouldn’t be too delicious anyway 🍚) 【Matcha Pudding】 Firm texture with a strong matcha flavor—yum! 🍵✅ Overall: It was decent! But probably not worth another 30-minute drive for me… (maybe my taste buds have just been spoiled by NYC food 😬) #Cleveland #Foodie #RamenReview #Kyuramen #OhioEats
