Cleveland Submarine Museum: USS Cod Submarine Memorial

🛟Located in downtown Cleveland, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial has been a downtown fixture for nearly three years, and it was my first visit. The admission fee is $12, and parking is free. Initially, I thought this museum wasn't very large, but everything on the submarine is touchable, and you can even sit on the gun mount to experience the joy of moving targeting. Most of the takes place inside the vessel, where the space is relatively small but packed with items, including the control room, torpedoes, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms—after all, this small submarine once housed over 90 people. It's recommended to visit on a weekday when there are fewer people; the tour can be completed in about an hour. 🛟Located in downtown Cleveland, next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the USS Cod is well worth a visit for history enthusiasts, and the condition of the exhibits justifies the $15 admission fee. However, it's important to note that due to the lack of a cut pressure hull, entering the submarine requires climbing a ladder. If you have mobility issues, please take note. 🛟This is the only submarine in the United States that retains its original state, and it's a must-visit for naval enthusiasts! The tour duration is 1 hour. 🛟Unlike typical museums with a grand and sophisticated atmosphere, this one is not fancy or delicate. The indoor exhibition area is even somewhat simple in layout, yet it houses many exhibits. The outdoor area gives the impression that all the ships have just been transported here and casually placed, creating an accessible "closeness" feeling. Bouncing around inside, you feel unrestricted and relaxed. #StudyingInUSA #CityMuseumMap #Ohio #ClevelandOhio #DayTrip
